The unite union won the case for him. They used a similar case in Renfrew that had been won by a driver to use as an example to add weight. (which one???)
Has the union lied to the council!!!

No, the union had been representing the renfrew operator as well as Mr Mathew the Dundee driver. Trying to get some more info on renfrew

The information given led me to believe that they told the council that there was already a precedent set in law elsewhere in Scotland, and that another disabled person won the right to put a saloon on the road.
I think this bluff has now set the real precedant.
I now wonder what the council would do if this turns out to be true!

I imagine they would look pretty foolish, if it were true.
