Dougie, you are a complete fruit cake. It's bums on seats that give you earnings. The whole trade is “dead”. There's nothing left to fight over.

You are tripping Dougie, at the present rate of exodus. You will be lucky if you don't end up paying potential customers to hire your taxi, just to keep you company.

Things are not going to improve for the foreseeable future, years not months. Image

You are welcome to your little world Dougie.

As Long as i earn a wage my son :D :D :D Hows the application for Macdonalds coming on

I don't think you quite understand Dougie. The taxi trade is at the sharp end of the economic meltdown. And in almost every respect the squeeze on discretionary income is only going to get worse. In simple terms (and I like to keep it simple for you Dougie) this means fewer people with less money to spend of taxis.

The only thing you can be sure of in the coming years is working more hours for even less money.

Driving a taxi is the last place you should want to be, unless of course, you are completely insane.

Have you always been delusional?

Did you know that 97% of all street pick ups by current medallion holders are pick-ups within Manhatten, the new medallions are borough's outwith Manhatten  A bit like East,West and Mid lothian Skull  the plate value in Edinburgh holds up against these area's doesn't it Skull

My idea is similar to New York but not the same, the Medallions are sold not leased, my idea keeps the game as is but allows the council to profit from the trade in plates and phc licences, so as to invest in a real modernisation of our trade, a lot of investment is needed Skull but not from individuals like me but from corporate profiteers who profiteer at the individuals expense

I can accept if my views are rejected but i have had my say and my idea is in the right hands, i won't go on a mission if my views are rejected but listen Skully boy, if it's a choice between my idea and yours, well you have no chance as you know the council will take the money making option

Controlled growth is what i'm about you are out to destroy with saturated growth, Game over

Remember and tell everyone you are a big time taxi driving "businessman". And don't forget to mention how you are chums, with the First Minister of Scotland wee Eck Salmond and his Justice Secretary big Kenny.

I would also take copies of your plan you put before the council. You might need to hand them around the breakfast table or the swimming pool.

I only wish I could be there to give you a hand.

I had a nightmare last night. I found myself on holiday in spain, with Dougie arriving at my Hotel. The next thing I remember was standing with a gun in my hand, thankfully at that precise moment, I woke up.

Dougie, I think it would be a good idea if you tell people what flight you are taking and what Hotel you are staying at when you arrive in Spain. That way we can notify the Spanish authorities.
