6 weeks in and still no licence.

Apparently the delay is at the cops end, in them doing their checks.

Now I guess they must realise the embarrassment of refusing based on the letter "what I writ" beccause that is political. They may not like it but it would make an interesting case on appeal.

Rather, the council have to be ferreting about looking for some other premise to refuse. because we all know that is what they want to do.

Interestingly I've just had a letter about the licence application, a holding letter telling me that the next council meeting is going to decide what to do about the appeals.

Could it be they are going to allow those appeal to get their licence?

And if so, what about the other sisted cases?

Deadline pased. I'm now working on the receipt. Which I'm told can be used for up to six months. By which time it will be coming up for renewal again.

Unless of course the content of my letter is exercising their minds for a refusal.

let's hope so. I'd love to expplain it to a judge.

Wee problem though.

Went to collect said licence Wed at 3 pm, to be told the computer was down and I'd have to call back.

No concern that I'd made this journey specifically for this purpose. No concern that the environment was unnecessarily assaulted to get me there.

Also the staff were not sufficiently concerned to be aware of when the computer was going to come back. Not their problem. It was down, and so were they. Being the council they have no imperative to put the customer first. Another excample of how CEC just doesn't care.

Yet the council's own customer care module wouldn't allow such a poor treatment of a customer as they seem prepared to dish out. It's another case of do as we tell you to do, not what we actually do.

So, still no licence. But no matter because I have no job either. Once again, because the council denies me the right to work under my own steam, I am subject to more unemployment. I'm cancelling my council tax DD as I speak.

However the plus side is that wonderboy, formerly known as puppet (or should that be poppet) Kevin Young can enjoy spending the next weeks and months straining to see which car I'm driving so that he can ingratiate himself to the numpties again.

So, if you know of any other comcab owners who want to shed their radio, all they have to do is invite me to drive for them and the little darlings' sphincters will vibrate until the radio position is removed.
