TXII Driver Proves A Hit With North-East Taxi Trade
North-east taxi drivers have been treated to two special local events to allow them to try out for themselves the acclaimed new entry-level purpose built taxi from LTI Vehicles.

LTI’s Manchester main dealer, Mann & Overton, organised one-day events in Sunderland and Newcastle upon Tyne with the opportunity for local drivers to test drive the new TXII Driver. Nearly 50 test drives took place over the two days with three firm orders placed and several more received since.

The drivers also received specially commissioned a LTI fleece jacket, pen and keyring when they undertook a test drive.

Steve Morgan, Sales Manager at Mann & Overton Manchester, commented: "This was an extremely useful exercise especially as many of the drivers had not previously had the chance to drive a TXII.

"We received a lot of positive comments about the TXII Driver, in particular relating to the highly competitive pricing and the fact that LTI is listening to drivers by producing this type of entry level vehicle.

"This type of initiative of taking the vehicle to the drivers is something the trade clearly appreciates as they do not need to take a lot of time out of their working day to travel to a dealer. It is something we shall definitely be repeating."

As long as you can get one for under a grand, then the lads at Gateshead might just be interested.

TX11,s,popular in the North East of Scotland, reckon there is around 50 in the Dundee area now.
One company has 40 (203020) the other ten are independants, but all bar one second hand, regarding the latter.
The lads seem to think they hold their prices, more than the other type of wheelchair accessible.
Hear that the fuel bills are rather horrific and some moanings already regarding the service costs.

A mate of mine bought a TX11 2 years ago on finance (not the options deal).

He has just agreed to hand the cab back and been offered £15k for it.

So much for "keeping their value".

Anyway the finance outstanding was over £22k but they gave him a settlement figure of £5k.

So this new "entry level" TX11 can still cost you the earth, or if you haven't got the cash to settle your house as well.

Great this HC game innit. Maybe he should have bought a banger of a cab like everyone else in Gateshead, according to Mr JD

B. Lucky
