I believe him myself, the only thing I will say he's possibly guilty of is trying to charge her too much and she wasn't having it, but as far as assaulting her I think this is the old get one back at the immigrant routine at play.

You just have to look at the comments in the Mail article from the Observer's to see how a cabby is rated in life, and although it's extreme, he's also correct to sew his lips up to highlight how the court is more interested in what the accuser has to say than the defendant.

This is the best truthful reply imo

I'm astounded at the unsympathetic comments about this man, who has gone to great lengths to assert his innocence. Anyone who has day to day dealings with the great 'British public' will know that there are numerous individuals who are aggressive, abusive and who will make up any story to get the person who is their target into trouble. I can imagine someone who is trying to avoid paying the full fare making any accusation to get their own back on a driver. In cases like this where it is the passenger's word against the driver, with no independent witnesses, it is easy for injustice to occur. This man has my support and I hope his case will be reviewed.

It's not that bad, it looks like he's gone fishing and is holding the line in his mouth ready to put a hook on.

If he did it himself he has got three things.

1. A good mirror.

2. A stainless steel ball.

3. Another stainless steel ball.

How can you say that T?

The way he has reacted says he isn't, foreign folk are very passionate and if they think they've been unfairly treated they won't shut up about it, just like he isn't, or rather sorta has if you know what I mean.

All the time man's corn hole is exhausting itself on the pan daily, innocent people will get found guilty, to pun it again, it's a stitch up

Unless the laws been changed, then we all have the power to remove someone from our vehicle / property using the minimum force required. Contact will always occur using force, and for the Council clown to say he's been convisted of 'violent assault', when its a simple common assault is bollox. If I brush against you its technically common assault.

Simply saying a driver should phone the Police is nonsence nowadays, you might be waiting 7 hours for a response, and if you keep driving to a Police Stn, the next thing you know you are being accused of kidnap or your cab gets damaged.

If you ask someone to leave your cab and they refuse to do so, then the driver has a right to remove that person.

Minimum force is paramount.

Sewing ones lips together is a tad OTT.
I think an appeal to the CC would have been slightly less painfull.

Fair dues mate, but I still think he's been done up this time, trouble is you never get the full story anyway, there is possibly history and this was deliberate to set him up and get him gone, I deffo think he has been set up, but maybe there is a good reason for it, a driver I used to know had a sex pest set up, he hadn't done what he got done for, but it got him out of the game and women were safer for it.
