Our night drivers have great difficulty having a 'one to one' with a licensing enforcement officer, for obvious reasons. So, when one makes an appearance on our streets in the early hours of the morning, our radio operator likes to advertise their presence to the whole fleet, with, for example;"Anyone needing to talk to Mr. xxxxxx, he can be found in the main street at the moment." Now, our licensing department have got wind of this message being broadcast, and are saying, if we continue to advertise their presence, we could be charged with,"perverting the course of justice." How they can suggest this, without any evidence that a crime has been committed to get justice for?????????????? is beyond me. Anyone feel like me, that the lunatics are running the asylum?
Well I am totally baffled, no shocked
Poor Gazntan and his chums are having problems finding a LO to talk to on a one to one basis, that is just terrible, I will happily contribute towards a whip round so the Council can have a phone installed in their office. Shame on Cheshire West and Chester Council for not having one. But hang on... put your money back in your pockets lads, I have had a better idea...

"We have a situation in our area, where the licensing enforcement officers are all over the private hire trade with a fine tooth comb, but leave the hacks to their own devices. We've recently had 2 P.H. cars lifted and taken to the pound, and both drivers incurred costs and fines of approx. £1000, and 6 driving license penalty points, both of them guilty of taking an 'unbooked' fare worth less than £10."
Well it would seem Gazntan does get to chit chat to the LOs because they are all over him with a fine tooth comb, lets hope they bleach the comb afterwards.
The first and most important rule of telling fibs is to remember what you said in the first place.
