My premium last year was £1170.

This year they want £1742!

And they want me to call them if I get a cheaper quote from elsewhere, to see if they can bend the underwriters arm to see if they will do it any cheaper!!

I can already feel the pain deep in my ar$e as they try to shaft me!!

Ouch!!!

So, as usual I've sent out the annual 87 emails to various taxi insurance comapnies and brokers with my full details.

Now I just wait for them to email back and pick the best [not necessarily the cheapest] quote and they'll have my business.

As for ringing back to my current insurer; well if they can't do it first time, then they don't get my business.

Same here, this year £1,425, last year £920. Phoned up another broker who quoted me just over £1,000, I got back in touch with my insurance place who said we can do it for £1,100, I told them to f**k off if they could do it for that why didn't they quote me that in the first place?? I might look and act a c*nt but when it comes to ££££££ I'm switched on.

Just wish they would double PH insurance and leave the hacks alone
I would estimate that the average PH driver is of foreign origin, mostly responsible for the higher premiums

Some insurance companys have a policy of beating a written quote. Which means that the first figure will always be higher.
Here is one for you with my renewal. It was due on October 12th. I agreed the renewal figure on October 11th. I pay by monthly direct debit. How come the company providing the finance for this tried to get the first payment on October 5th, 6 days before I had agreed to renew?

From experience ph insurance is more expensive than taxi insurance and as a reciprocal insult I hope that they treble yours

But the above premiums are going up for vehicles driven by white people, so how do you work that out?

Surely if said person is a risk then they will not have any no-claims.

Do you have evidence that they are a greater risk?
