It went to the scrap yard in the sky some years ago mate, I part chopped it for a 2.8 Capri, proper f@nny magnet then. 8) 8) 8)

I only ever drove a Capri once. I couldn't see the road in front of the car for at least 30 feet. Oh and we made the same parts for ford as we did for Leyland and Vauxhall. We also made the handbrake assembly for the DeLorean, but we never got paid for that one.

A guy who works with us has an old Capri under wraps in his garage, it's an old S reg 2.0 auto, it only comes out in the summer.

That article contained 2448 words.....of which 247 were broadly about the much malaigned Austin Allegro.....the rest should have made people aware that the cab trade is doomed.

It's nice to see the thread discuss the merits of the Allegro (or aggro as some wits chose to call it).

Pmsl.... To be fair everybody likes a good reminisce hence the conversation turning to the Allegro. Give it a couple of years and everybody will be only too happy to talk about the taxi trade :wink:
