Look, it was Cap who said the site had no policy, and he was clearly using the term in a very particular sense.

I and Alex agree in the sense that Cap used, but using the term 'policy' in its wider sense then we both disagree.

There is no statement of policies, but the site clearly has a position on issues, is that clear enough?

It would appear that my comments have created a little disagreement, nice to see theres nothing new there then.

The point I was trying to make was that the site has no policy in favour or against delimitation, it seems to me that its only the views of members and the site is neutral.

Sussex has even admitted that anyone wishing to justify the policys of limitation can do so, if they produce a document similar the myth and reality.

Unfortunately I dont have the time to produce such a document, however my own view, as stated before is one of justification.

The editorial comment in taxitalk is amusing and unfortunately typical of many areas, I would suggest it is more of a comment than a policy of the magazine. I would suggest anyone who has an issue with the comments in the editorial send in a letter.

I am more surprised that the article by the reiver in the current issue does not seem to have attracted any comments and perhaps it would be worthy of a thread.

I recently downloaded the Myths and reality "Document" and really am considering a reply. Have not stopped laughing at the thing yet to tap out my answer but the best bit so far is page 7 the "hypothetical town with a hundred hacks, with 200 drivers, which turns into a town with 200 hacks with 400 drivers when the town's major employer shuts down so Mr "Author" your point being.... (that now nobody makes a living?) That would appear to be the point you make, in para 3.....

A valid point Captain, and I doubt many in the trade have the time to produce such a document, and next to none the IQ required.

None the less, if someone did do a similar report which was pro-quotas, then I'm quite sure those behind Taxi Driver Online would be only too pleased to put it on the frontpage.

Perhaps that's one of the policies the Angel was on about.

Captain this site is biased, that is not a bad thing, its what the owners and administration of the site want and that is their right.

They do allow members an opportunity to voice their opinions within the forums, but they never admit that "myth and reality" is a bias document, because of that they would publish any document offered but make every effort to point out that their opinions are unbias and the "new document" was bias in favour of the authors opinion.

There is a bigger picture, and its not a pretty one.
