Taxi Driver Online

The police without our knowledge took it into their heads to instruct the Taxi Marshalls to double up individuals/couples who do not know each other into our vehicles.

This may work in London but they do charge additional fares to the different people and they are made aware of it. This caused trouble to a number of us - one in particular had to out the lot as they started to argue as to who was going to pay the fare.

The other danger is - going back a few years ago two women got into my cab, as they did a guy said do you mind if I share as I am only going up the road. Within a short time one of the women and the guy got very friendly "smacking the lips off of one another". They got to his destination, and as he got out he groped the women concerned. Why she had the look of shock on her face taking into account her loose behaviour I do not know - but that is the kind of thing that can happen.

If they, the TMs, have not already been told NO - then they most certainly will be by me.

I think someone needs to remind that police that it's their job to police, the marshals job to marshal and your job to taxi.
