Merry Christmas everybody :p :p

I think it's how it's fallen this year with regards to how busy it's been. It's fell just right with Christmas Day being on a Sunday.

I heard it was the worst in 37 years of one driver's experience. I can't say she's wrong, worst in 16 for me

I don't even bother going out till late on Xmas Eve these days, so went out at 11, hoping to get a fare before the midnight, er, lull

Pushing 1am and I still hadn't got a run. Then out of the blue I got a £70er, came back got a £25er and finshed with £15.

So did £110 in less than an hour and a half, and that was it!! Quite happy since at one point I was wondering whether I'd even get a fare at all.

Pity it only lasted a short time, but that's about as good as it gets here and I've had a lot worse Xmas Eves than that.

Of course, in a small town where you only get a handful of runs it can work both ways - I could just as easily have gotten four or five short runs and went home with £40 or so.

Work was okay today but friday was busy as we had a power cut all around the town meaning no phones working so around 4 everyone ran to the rank as everywere was dark did 9 local jobs in 1 an half hour people were waiting on main streets to hail a cab so was good got a 70mile job at the 1am train so was good
Today came on at 7 quiet till around 11 then busy busy busy pick up after pick up just finished around an hour ago and happy with the takings
Going back on around 8pm
Happy christmas everyone.
