The SNP are being very coy and very clever, the pro union people, even with a majority cannot win.

Scotland is going, whether the english like it or not......either way goodbye.

The problem with the English is the english....I can see that from up here in the north.....we have a PM who is a multi millionaire.....who knows f*ck all about my life and he isnt in all honesty interested (I dont blame him tbh). Why should my Scottish neighbours feel any different?

Some of my best mates are Scots....they wind me up, I wind them up.....the difference is, and ask any Scot, they dont give a t*ss if your northern english, from the south east or from the midlands......but they seriously resent the 'plum in the mouth' english. And believe me, there is a serious difference.

I would love the Scots to stay in the union, they're my nearest neighbours and freinds, but I understand what their gripe is, and i dont blame them for wanting a divorce from a marriage they were forced into, its a good job they dont claim 'rape' tbh.

Now, do we divorce as freinds, or enemies......that problem is one for the English the Scots dont particularly give a [edited by admin], either way, I'll still go north to play golf and enjoy the hospitality of my nearest neighbours.

Very well put CC , i see it as a political divorce rather than a social one . Like you CC i have relatives and good friends that are English. They also live in England and i will also continue to visit, socialise and have the same old banter with them as normal after Scotland becomes Independent .All i want is my country to self-determine how it raises and spends its revenues after all what sane person would hand over their wages to their neighbour and get a less amount back to spend .
The only bug of mines about some English people is the myth that we are subsidised junkys which is total pish Scotland pays her way .
Also if members of this forum think that i would be so small minded to let the SNP s taxi policy dictate the way i feel about independence they are so very wrong and i find it an insult .As i have said previously i am not anti English i am pro Scottish thou i must admit i have had to re-evaluate my thoughts on a number of occasions since reading some posts   .
Someone also mentioned paying back debt which would be about 9% of the now just over a trillion pounds, Scotland will pay our share of .But we will also negotiate to get our 9 % share of the UK assets ie defence ,crown estate, gold ect :D .
Another point that has been missed it is not just SNP voters that back independence some Labour, libdems voters and a lot of minority party's also back it,the Scottish spring has started , no more bloody battles just a tick in the Yes box

Well I didn't really understand your initial point and you've been slowly losing me ever since, but it was you who made the point initially, or at least once you'd explained it to me

It'd be a real shame if Scotland were to break away from the UK. I mean, think of all the wonderful contributions to British society that the Scots have made throughout history...

...nah, I couldn't think of any either.

Don't wait until 2014 get gone now, you can have your teaspoon of heating oil whats left, you can have your currency because it'll be worth f**K all in 2 years, you can have your liver killing whiskey industry, your Irn Bru, don't wait until 2014 eff off now. You'll be on your backside within 2 years when there's strikes all over Scotland due to them not having any money.

The Scottish have always been a bunch of pedeantic wankers since day one.

There's nothing I'd like to see better than a wall being built at the border and shoot any Scottish twat who dares to cross it, the same goes for the Scottish who live in England, if they don't go back shoot the tvvats.

Is this view common amongst you guffies?

I have to wonder why any Scotsman would want to be in a union with the likes of you.
