I took my granddaughter ice skating last night. It was her first time. I Hadn't set foot on the ice for about 30 years, and it showed. I still managed to get my old skates on but I had forgotten just how much they hurt at first. We only spent about 1 1/4 hours on the ice but boy do my legs ache this morning. She enjoyed it and I bet she wants to go again so I had better get into some kind of training. At least I didn't fall over. Mind you at £6.00 per person to get in and another £2.00 to hire skates for her, it is not a cheap night out. The car park cost £9.50 as well. Yes I am a tight git!

Perhaps you should warm your muscles up before you go next time and do some stretching exercises before and after you've been
