If the Police put a punter in my Cab and told me to take him home.

The first thing I'd do is to demand deposit, of sufficient to cover the expected fare, before he got in.

Also, if he/she appeared so blotto that puking was a possibility then an advance of £50.00, to cover the Clean-up, would be considered a necessity.

Police tried to put a passenger in my vehicle once, I told them they had to ring the office first to book the ride. I still had to take the fare after they booked as my vehicle was held until they had rang the office. It was part of a sting op and the vehicle they were in was not allowed to continue with the fare

I find the ones you have to watch for are pub landlords phoning for a taxi to get a punter who is so drunk they have become a nuisance out of their pub

We have a local pub who do this. As soon as they say the pick up, we can't do it.

Report the pub to licensing officers.

Bit too much of a grey area tbh, no proof the bloke didn't just wander in and get refused but LL rang him a cab anyway, besides who really wants to get his fellow grunt in trouble anyway.
