Are you for real, how can a fare increase be detrimental to trade? Do the punters feel paying you cheap fares is detrimental to you?

i just recieved my letter from the council today it reads(a small number of taxi operators have lodged appeals with the traffic commissioners the meter tests are therefore postponed)

the tarriff change is back on again following a decision by the trraffic commissioner not to proceed with an appeal,meter tests will start on july 30th and will involve all 726 taxi and privare hire vehicles (evening telegraph)
