Aylesbury does not need any more cabs as there isn't enough work for the current 50 letalone more.
All you can see is cabs parked on ranks just sitting there with no work, sometimes you'll get to a rank and its full so you'll have to do laps around the town burning fuel untill you get a place as during the day there's not many trains and if a train does come only few people will get out the train and normally walk home so the station rank isn't useful.
The other ranks such as the main one you'll be waiting over a houre for a fare so there's no need for cabs, all times the ranks are occupied meaning if you want a cab you won't have to wait.
The only times cabs are hard to get is on fridays between 13:30 - 14:30 only 1 hour.
Most of the people who use taxis 99% of them use private hire because of the £3 fare.
E.g. If you take a cab from town to the hospital it'll cost you around £5 or you could use private hire company for cheaper so because of this we do not have much trade, the only days we have trade is on weekend nights mainly saturday night.
But imo there's enough cabs and + here its a small little town with not much places so forming ranks is a no no as there's no parking places.

I have now been driving the taxi since monday an it has been a good week i say, when I used to drive privatehire on a weekend, after midnight work went quiet we only got 1 maybe 2 jobs a hour but last night after 10pm was rushed off my feet the ranks were busy untill about 4am, I like driving a hack as wen your on rank its like your not working at all as everyone is chatting away once you get a job you drop it off an come back an start chatting again untill you get another job but in private hire you stay in you car all day,

Yes weekend nights are busy mainly saturday nights its busy from 11 till 4am.
But the rest of the days nothing I work days 10-4 and take home average less than 40 quid but other drivers who put in 12 hours take around £70-80 during week and about 100-140 weekend nights.
But when i started work was ok or should i say verry good but when new firms started opening and all pH went £3 in town it all went bust,
Luckly most drivers are surviving because of saturday night.
And with fuel, insurance and maintenance prices going up its verry hard for drivers to survive.

Seriously yes even doe drivers arnt earning anything actually there are earning feeding their familys, paying bills ect but they are earning around £5 a hour.
Paying that 70k got me a job if i didn't have the takeway ill be driving all hours trying to feed my family knowing ill still have a job tomorrow but that's with the limit but if numbers were delimited it'll all be different as day in day out my hours will increase and my taking will decrease meaning il less maintain my vehicle and use that money to increase my profits.
Atm drivers who put in 12hour shifts 6-7 days a week are earning less than minimum wage after fuel, and vehicle maintenance expances.
But it they delimit drivers will consider working up to 18 hours a day and that will be dangerous for customers and for drivers.
