I can just see what will happen when the Olympics start,

A line of 200-300 cabs just before the Olympic lane starts, all in the outside lane, that are constantly yielding to other cabs joining that lane from the middle lane half-way along the line of outside lane cabs and then stopping just before the Olympic lane with their left indicator on waiting to be let back into the middle lane by other motorists.

I just get the feeling they're going to screw the whole system up.

Nah not dreaming ...... if its good for one its good for the other .... what would the feminists say if men where allowed and not women ..... and we all know what johnny foreigner would be saying if only pure white 6th generation english were allowed in, imagine the screaming scottish,welsh and irish voices and anyone else with a bit of colour in their skin !

There will be Taxis and Phv using the lanes as long as they are sporting the VAPP signage (vehicle access and parking permits) so if you are 1 of the chosen few its 'Happy Days', for the rest of us its 'suffer you mugs'.
To be honest its not just lane access thats going to be a problem, the banned left/right turns are gonna cause grief.

The last week has been a nightmare as the road changes have been implemented, I have taken half the wedge I normally get for a 10 hr shift, hopefully its the calm before the deluge of expected tourists, last week drivers were doing 6 hours at Heathrow.

As for tomorrows Demo, what have we got to lose?

If PH had a meter and charged waiting time, you might have an argument.

But most PH, certainly in Brum, give there waiting time in traffic for free, so it doesn't cost the passenger any extra when they're in traffic, so why allow them into bus lanes?
