Unlicensed 'taxi' driver is fined and given six points


CHAUDHARI Shajait, 51, of Far Rye, Wollaton, pleaded guilty to plying for hire in Radcliffe Road, West Bridgford, on February 23 in a vehicle not licensed as a public Hackney carriage. He was fined £100 and ordered to pay £100 costs to Rushcliffe Borough Council. Shajait also admitted driving without insurance in Radcliffe Road, West Bridgford, on February 23. He was fined £100, his licence was endorsed with six points and he was ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge.

For everyone they catch and prosecute, there are another 500,000 plus they don't catch.

And there's no hope of the LC's ideas even starting to scratch the surface of this gigantic problem.

Maybe you should suggest to the LC that they got their one/two tier proposals wrong, and the only solution is one tier.
