Woman sexually assaulted by bogus taxi driver in Shiremoor


A SEX attacker who posed as a taxi driver before assaulting a woman in his car is today being hunted.

The 35-year-old victim got into the navy-cloured car after a night out in Newcastle, believing it to be a cab.

But instead of taking her home the bogus cabbie drove to Shiremoor, in North Tyneside, where he stopped and sexually assaulted his passnger.

Police are today appealing for help to catch the predator.

The woman got into the navy-coloured car outside Offshore and the Quilted Camel, on Newcastle's Quayside, at around 12.45am today.

The driver is described as Asian, in his 40s, and of stocky build. He had short black hair brushed off his face and was wearing a black jacket with white stripes on and jeans. He spoke with a foreign-sounding accent but was able to speak English fluently.

Hmmmmm another bogus one.

If young girls behaved in a more sensible and sober manner then this kind of assault would all but disappear, and when the scum bag perpetrators of such crimes get caught and properly punished, not just a year inside but jailed for life or sent back to whatever festered part of the planet they come from the better.
