So what's stopping you paying them £8 per hour, other than you'd have to be employing them to pay them anything. You don't seem to understand that whilst you think you are very magnanimous and want to 'pay them' you are in fact paying them nothing at all and you don't seem to realise it is they that are paying you ffs

I would like to pay them £8 per hour but they would not agree as they rather stick on doing approximately £15 worth of work an hour and take 40%, yes they are paying me by doing the jobs but technically I am paying them as I am making them drive my vehicle, bring the customers to them and then they do the job and pay me the rest.

so without my car or my customers, they would not be getting paid.. CORRECT?

I don't agree with the split bag system it's that simple. Imo if you provide the work and the vehicle you are indeed an employer and as such you should provide proper and legal employment, not this semi pseudo employment that you offer.... CORRECT?

You could work this system both ways, your not wrong.. you can work it the way you just said or my way...

For example stock broking jobs, many are self employed? The company provide everything, you get a basic pay andthen commission (all self-employed)

We're not stock brokers tho are we and we don't get the commission that stock brokers get. Stock brokers deal in hundreds of thousands of pounds we deal in tens of pounds. Imo there is no real comparison

You're saying... that they are your car's and customer's..... so that drivers can't work anywhere else... so you should be paying their stamp and paying them holiday pay.... a certain GMB union is very hot on this....

And I bet stockbrokers dont get asked silly questions like "Been busy mate? What time did you start? What time you finish? Done any airports lately? I bet it gets really busy after 11?"

Stock Brokers do get asked silly questions - all the time. Especially when they're off duty.

So called friends are always asking for 'Tips' and they get angry if you're not right.

How many transactions did you do today? What was your volume? What was your best Turn?

By the way, on some transactions, Commission can be as low as 0.0025%, or less.

I was a Stock Broker ~ Long long time ago

I get 60% I am entitled to pay

- VAT
- Insurance
- Advertising
- System Cost
- Wages
- Office bills
- Office Rent and Rates
- Vehicle repairs
- Vehicle replacements
- Vehicle TAX
- Vehicle MOT
- Plate Renewals
- Fuel
- Customers who run off without paying costs me fuel, maintenance and so on
- and lots more

I get 10% if that...

Driver gets 40% and is entitled to pay

- NO TAX if so, very very little (as most dodge it)
- Little National Insurance
- Insurance Excess if they crash

Prove me wrong?

Driver gets 100%

- pays you 60%
- Tax (you can't assume they don't pay it unless you have evidence they don't pay it)
- National insurance
- Insurance excess if they crash (it's nice to note that you have that bit stitched up )
