On March 23rd 2005 the following Liquidators were appointed to deal with the insolvency of the above company.

This has been posted as it would appear the company Diplomat Data Systems LTD has not made its Liqudators aware of all claims for payment that were outstanding.

Should you or anyone you know be owed monies from this company for whatever reason then it is within your interests to lodge this claim with the above Liqiudators.

Jason and all the other employees will be ok including my friend Lynda, She was not quick enough to instigate this liquidation herself by the way, someone else did this, She only found out after the fact when her accountants after 9 months of not being paid checked the status of the company before issuing a Statatory demand, so either they did this voluntarily or someone else issued the demand before she could.

This was her last resort, by the way if it was not she would have done this six months ago, she was also concerned about all the employees who relied on their wages regardless if they had actually been paid for what they had done and were still loyal, she did not wish to push this to the point where others lost out also.

However at the end of the day the redundancy payments office will pay the staff their wages out of the National Insurance fund if they have not already been paid. It is only any diference between what the RPO pay and what is actually owed that is then to be settled by the liquidators, on the basis wages are preferential.

They are now the only preferential creditors, employees, for example Inland revenue and tax now have to take their turn in the queue with any other tom dick or harry.

So in sort Jason will be fine except he will have to find another job. That of course presumes he was not stupid enough to sign as a Director when the new company was formed after the previous one went down 18 months ago and was only a Director in name, if this is the case then he is in the brown stuff as much as the rest of them.

Which I have to say if this is the case then he should have checked his own rights before he signed his life away.

In the meanwhile our friend Stu gets away scott free again.

There really should be a DTI investigation here but alas the amounts of money involved in this type of fraud are simply too low for the government to be able to invest the resorces into investigating, that says it all really.

Wow... Sad news for Diplomat, though I assumed this was coming. I left Diplomats employment (on good terms, I might add) at the end of last year (well, had there not been a bank holiday on the 3rd Jan, I'd have technically worked there that day..)

For all the slaggings that Stu gets you'd assume he's not a very nice person, but as an employer he was a really great guy. Couldn't have asked for a better one over the two years I worked at Diplomat.

Jase is a rock. He really kept Navigator on a straight path. Even though I sometimes got frustrated with his stuborn single vision, he was pointing the product in the right direction.

As for rest of the staff and directors, I wish them all well. I almost dropped by last Tuesday on the way back from a sales meeting in Oxford. Lucky I stayed on course for home as I guess there may not have been anyone about at Herriard?!

Without wishing to start any wars, and as I'm sick and tired of the continues bashing Navigator got...

Navigator and Mercury are both based on the same source code. Yes Yorkie, Navigator was developed from the original source code. Jase and I changed it a lot... just not in ways that Mike Scott would be able to see without the source. We fixed a lot of bugs, we made a lot of architectural changes. It wasn't "hacked together by college students". I have over 8 years professional Delphi programming experience, and Jase probably has more than that.

Anyway, I'm sure Stu has plans to rise again

The one thing I can't understand about all those that slag off Diplomat is why they deal or dealt with them.

Surely only a fool would spend 10s, possibly 100s of thousands of pounds with a firm, without checking them out first.

The really stupid thing is that Diplomat weren't out to rip off customers. Yorkie is obsessed that Diplomat passed him over, but that is complete BS. Diplomat were under an NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) with Excel Management. A gagging order - one which Excel insisted on having. Diplomat were not allowed to talk about the partnership breakup. Excel retained the rights to the Midas name and a limited licence to continue Midas Development. Excel had a list of customers that they wanted to take, Yorkie being one of them and Diplomat were, (Yorkie should take heed of this), NOT LEGALLY ALLOWED UNDER THE AGREEMENT TO TALK TO ANY OF THE CUSTOMERS ASSIGNED TO EXCEL. Basically, Yorkie got the brush off because Diplomat couldn't talk to him. And the list was drawn up by Excel, before Yorkie gets ideas.

Anyway... looking at the Diplomat site, things still seem to be happeneing there, so I'd not count them as out just yet.

I hope Diplomat to continue to trade, if for no other reason than to stop loads of firms going to Auriga's money black hole.

As for Mr Yorkie, well you may have noticed that he is no longer a member of this site.

As an ex-emploee of Diplomat I appreciate your "technical experience" of Diplomat (Navigator) is beyound doubt.

It is the way the Directors have been able to roll various "Diplomat" companies (UK Ltd,Data Systems Ltd ) that is my concern.

Being told you are being made redundant is bad enough!!!!!

Finding out that you do not not qualify for Job seekers allowance, Redundancy pay,Holiday pay,and not being paid TWO weeks owed wages, and knowing that from the ashes will rise "Windowview or alike " is taking the "[edited by admin]"!!!!!

Good luck with the DSS. They're a bigger PITA than our ex-employer on money matters..

I assume no job seekers allowance is paid because they did not pay your NI for the past two years. Take your wage slips down to them and show them you have paid the deductions this should make them at least consider a payment.

What concerns me is this company still has a fully operational web site and are still giving customers support on it, it appears they are still trading. Shame on you Matt, for sticking up for a company that does not pay its staff, I presume this is because you got your money then is it?

Bob as you know was a valued member of staff and if he has not been paid who else is owed money?

This messing with peoples lives needs to stop as it is simply out of order.

Eric, yeah, I got paid. I got paid for everything outstanding... I made sure of that before I left.

I'm sticking up for them, only in so much as, they never treated me badly. Yes, they caused me undue stress for the last 6 months as I wondered if this was the month they would fold, but other than that all was well. I parted on good terms.

I feel sorry for Bob too, but the writing had been on the wall for some time.

Navigator as a product is excellent. Shame it may never really get the right kind of publicity after this.

Says it all really, there are no silly games going on here Admin, just crooked people trying to get money out of others for nothing.

I understand you realise this as you would have deleted the post entirely if you had not and would not have left the bits you did.

It is a sad world that is all I can say, as far as private messages are concerned, the sender should have enough trust in the receiver not to post them publically else they deserve all they get.
