Trust me, when yer mates are coming home in bags the last thing on your mind is the Geneva Convention, if you don't believe think back to all the threads where a driver who shouldn't be on the road has mowed down a kid or a family and caused a death, that is the same feeling, total outrage and the want to see that that tit never gets the chance to inflict on others again,

I think we should ask the family of Ken Bigley and see what they think of the Marines.

Absolutely bang on the money, a woman who's an escort for us received that dreaded visit from the men from the MOD telling her that her 22 year old son had been killed by the Taliban.

There's a kid who lives down the road from me called Alex Brewer, a Royal Marine who had his legs and bollox blown off by the Taliban http://www.chad.co.uk/news/local/fun-ru ... -1-4708924,

If you fuck with the Marines they will kill you, simples.

No need, all ready knew about Rick Jolly.
I think you missed my point though.
Letting scumbags go isn't a new thing for the UK, and there are scumbags on any side.

I think there is too much speculation here we simply do not know the facts of the case and thats what this is about surely were the rules of engagement broken ? Mind you fancy videoing the incident and keeping it on a laptop where it could be found

Im not arguing about that, what im saying is that "we" have certain standards, we also have rules of engagement, theres plenty of opportunity to shoot the other side without resorting to their level

plus we have bigger guns!

Sorry Wannas, that is the answer of someone who plays Call of Duty, the reality is so much more bloody.

And plenty dangerously trendiest politicians who would rather have us not shoot back until we are shot first.. #-o

That would be funny if it wasn't so true,

Do you know those bricks (invert the B) thought they could send a SAS team to single highhandedly take out a whole country just because they'd watched a movie where it happens, talk about blinkered, and they sent another SAS team on a suicide mission recently, nobody returned sadly.

That is the definition of a suicide mission isn't it? Mind you it is amazing that you can get such information.

I dont play "COD" thanks, the politicians (and MOD) have no stomach for all out "no holds barred" warfare in Afghanistan, they are to blame, no invading force has ever won in that country, we tried it 150 years ago, the Russians tried it and lost 250,000 men (and they DIDNT hold back) so what would you suggest?

as a war on terrorism it has failed, as a war on drugs it has failed....The USA has lost 1955, we have lost 433

Deaths amongst coalition forces are INCREASING, when we withdraw the country will descend into all out civil war, but it always has been like that!
