Apparently the free legal representation, death cover and payment of all fines from union representation out weighs the advantage of being a member of the NTA

Well TBH other than having the Captain at the end of the phone I personally struggle to see any benefits? :?

There are definite benefits of being a member of the NTA!!

For starters, there's the nostalgic reminiscing after every Chairman's Dinner at each NTA conference of how things used to be 'douring the wowa' and in the 1950's too.

Many thanks to all those members of TDO who are also members of the NTA.

It was good seeing you all again (honestly) - I hope you enjoyed the conference - I hope you enjoyed the Chairman's dinner - amazingly good value for money.

Many thanks to all those who attended - I think we can call it a success.

It most certainly was!

£79.50 for a host of informed speakers, minus the Sheffield based new chairman of NALEO who didn't turn up, plus a three course Chairman's Dinner with coffee, a bed for the night with ensuite Jacuzzi bath in every room [if I had known I would have nicked the wife's perfumed bubble bath, but Ms Toots was well perfumed though], a hearty breakfast the next morning, followed by a cooked two course lunch before the final session on the last day.

The only thing missing was a reminiscing nostalgia speaker!!

Which cost more than the Chairmans dinner, the room (with Jacuzzi bath) and breakfast in the morning

The Fields of Athenry

By a lonely prison wall
I heard a young girl calling
Micheal they are taking you away
For you stole Trevelyn's corn
So the young might see the morn.
Now a prison ship lies waiting in the bay.

Low lie the Fields of Athenry
Where once we watched the small free birds fly.
Our love was on the wing we had dreams and songs to sing
It's so lonely 'round the Fields of Athenry.

By a lonely prison wall
I heard a young man calling
Nothing matter Mary when your free,
Against the Famine and the Crown
I rebelled they ran me down
Now you must raise our child with dignity.

Low lie the Fields of Athenry
Where once we watched the small free birds fly.
Our love was on the wing we had dreams and songs to sing
It's so lonely 'round the Fields of Athenry.

By a lonely harbor wall
She watched the last star falling
As that prison ship sailed out against the sky
Sure she'll wait and hope and pray
For her love in Botany Bay
It's so lonely 'round the Fields of Athenry.

Low lie the Fields of Athenry
Where once we watched the small free birds fly.
Our love was on the wing we had dreams and songs to sing
It's so lonely 'round the Fields of Athenry.

weird how this will remind me of nta conf 2012

Personally I think CC has a strange taste in music :D That aside I think he'd do very well in a union too, if he can stop calling them all c***s
