It's nothing to do with the free market concept only its interpretation. It's the same as the legal system that's turned into a commercial entity by lawyers. It's all about cash and not justice. The principle behind the justice system is not the problem, only the practice.

Did the police drop it as 'not crime of the decade' and tell you to pursue it through your own brief if you're offended?

I've read some really inane and puerile nonsense about de-restriction, but the tripe written on this thread, which was not about de-restriction, just takes the biscuit. Let's be clear, the reason you guys are so energised about de-restriction, and me for fighting to bring it about, is because you are inadequate, you can't compete, and you're inured in doffing your caps to an autocratic council which you stupidly think cares about you. They don't. Politicians sh*t on everyone just as soon as it becomes expedient to do so.

So, be warned and get over it.

Now for the purpose of the thread. And that is Travis/Alan Gladstone and his/their numpty pals.

It’s going to be interesting to see how the council deals with Travis as a licensed taxi driver. Whether or not he is a “Fit and Proper Person” is definitely in the frame. I would imagine a suspension to be almost a foregone conclusion, especially in the present political climate. The problem is the council now only suspend the licence for its duration. If your licence has a year to run, then the suspension runs for a year.

The trouble is he can’t deny what he wrote and nor can he sugar coat it. He has no choice but to fall on his sword.

It occurs to me that once the police investigation is complete and Travis Bickle is identified, charged and convicted. Alan Gladstone may also be in the frame, as the offending criminal comments are hosted on his servers. Two birds with one stone, one might say, supposing Travis and Gladrags are two different people.

How much would you like to bet on it? This matter is now being investigated at a criminal level. It has already been decided that a crime has been committed, and the evidence for a conviction exists on fasties servers.

It's a slamdunk.

It's only a matter of time before Travis is outed and formally charged.
