Not the worst ever last night, but certainly not great. Between 7 and 8.30 it was fairly busy, and again between 11.30 and 1, however 3 good hours does not compensate the other 6 hours sat twiddling thumbs doing maybe 3 jobs per hour if lucky. Fridays are indeed not worth going out of your way to work - the same money can be earned on a thursday most weeks. Only after midnight is it better than any other day, and then by 1am it's all finished anyway.
Personally I was expecting a poor weekend, with halloween and bonfire night just gone. Pubs around here are also closing on a weekly basis, at least one a week for the last month or so. And this is in a fairly small town with only 10 or so pubs to begin with.
What a depressing post! Lets hope for better tonight.
The Autumn series Rugby starts today Wales v Argentina + Cardiff playing Hull at the same time!!!! Where the heck were these people when brains were being dished out - we are in the worst recession that I can ever remember, and they do NOT stagger the games for the benefit of the fans who would watch both codes. Keeping the fans in the City by staggering the games would have given local businesses a massive boost - But! "THEY" have missed a wonderful opportunity on that one there. Anyway! I am not sure what part of the woods you are from................but do not let me see you hanging around outside of "The Hilton" OR parked up in "Penarth Road" by the railway station under the pretext of a booked fare

not that anyone will do anything about it

Rest assured I'm not from the cardiff area, though do venture there on long jobs at least once a week. Was meant to pick up from Great Western bar on friday night, however couldn't get near it due to a line of about 50 cabs, this was at 1am so must have been a poor night in your neck of the woods too.
Last night was decent though, around here anyway.
