Is the fashionable talk this week.

Apparantly (and i've had a voicemail) Allied are calling drivers who gave their names in support of a better taxi choice in London with a view to legal action against TFL to get rid of the turning circle and give us a choice of more side loading WAV taxis.

They'll have my support, even more so now that LTI have gone down the swanee and we are back to a monopoly until at least next spring when Nissan are expected to launch their conversion.

I wonder how many millions the PCO will waste trying to defend it with taxpayers money?

The turning circle CoF should have been scrapped decades ago, at about the same time as power steering became a standard feature on vehicles.

It's time the Regimental Sergeant Majors at TfL were retired too, in favour of people with common sense that relfect the 21st century views.

According to The Glasgow Herald, an E7 is due up for inspection by TFL this month, it'll no doubt be refused a license, then hopeful the Allied lawyers will get going.

The TFL lawyers track record so far has been an embarrassment, failing even to get a touting minicab firms license revoked, im sure Allied will pisz all over them.

I wonder how many tens of thousands of pounds they'll waste defending an outdated and unneeded turning circle?

Shame on them if they do. [-X

We have no turning circle but only 2 vehicles are authorised to carry 8 passengers, Tourneos and E7's, all the rest foul up on the folding seat and rear door access regs

I wouldn't be so keen on side loading WAV Taxis, after what I had to go though on the hard shoulder  &

Licenses department could probably face corporate manslaughter surely they had know that you can not get the passenger out, to a safe area , if it a scenario ended up with a fatal fatalities

Where should they be loaded then?

From the rear where another vehicle could rear end you?

Every loading point comes with a degree of risk. Thats life.

Well the director of Nissan UK tweeted me the other week (Aren't I popular?) claiming the London taxi conversion will be around 111 BHP. Perhaps its the bigger engine thats going in?

But small can sometimes be beautiful.

Ask CC's wife.
