If you ask our association any difficult questions, they revoke your membership and make it very difficult to rejoin at a later stage.

Just ask them for an explanation, then work out what they do, who they have to give a bung to. If it seems that you are being badly treated - leave.

If it's a limited company, it must abide by the Companies Act and its memorandum and articles. At the least there must be an annual general meeting where shareholders can have their say.
