I had one on Friday night, "Take me to Blackstone Farm, please driver". No probs, so far, got a destination and a semi sober punter what can go wrong? You'll keep me right for directions, says I. "yeah, it's near Shieldhill" So off we go. He lives there, even better, can't get lost, can I? Only I passed the back road he usually took and I had to go about 1/2 mile detour to get back to it's road end. He got lost. I then had to direct him to where he knew and let him navigate from there.  BTW it was at least 3 miles and a different direction from Shieldhill and about a mile closer to the pick up point.

Just had another one. She tells me the name of the village and says she knows the way from the post office. I take her to the post office and she says turn right, then it was turn right again, follow the road round and we stop at a house about 50 yards from the road i came in on. never mind.

And once you arrive at the street name they give you and you ask which number they reply 'don't know, it's a friends house, but there should be a red car outside' - and half the street drives red cars #-o

Or you turn into the street, wait for them to tell you to stop and they say 'oh you've gone past it'.

Then there's the old which hotel is it - 'I don't know the name, but it has a green canopy'.

And am I the only one who's had a 'just drive' followed by 'you're going the wrong way' ? Or when they jump in and just say 'go'.

I've had a couple of jobs where we visit several different addresses to see if the husbands car was parked outside, and one where we went to where the husband said he would be to make sure he was telling the truth.

I don't know why I care, but now I just have to know - was he where he was supposed to be?

He wasn't. So we went to one of his mates houses and the car was there, trouble was the wife knew his mate wasn't there and from her reaction I'm guessing his wife was !
