Mate of mine was punched three times in the face last friday by a customer he refused to take as he had not booked the cab. Police caught the geezer within ten minutes which was a suprise. But they phoned my mate last night to say they are just going to caution the geezer and what did he think about this you can guess what his answer were. Is this the norm now across the country to let people get away with assaulting people at work, wonder what they would have thought if a police officer had been assualted.

I'm not too sure it is the norm; and it would appear your local police can't be done with all the paper work.

I wouldn't let this go, I would be inclined to contact your local paper and/or the Chief Constable.
