In your post dated friday 13 2:07 am you said ( your mate does 1000 pounds a week ) . If you mean that his his gross earnings, then i stand correct . If you are saying that his is net earnings , then city driver or not he is talking crap . I agree with you that Liverpool fares, are over priced, but who sets the fares . You will say the council, but even you know its the fleet owners . If you dont think there is a need ,for restrictions on private hire, then good let them pick up in the street , after all i have seen buses do it . street car

I assumed Mr T was talking gross, and you clearly thought he was talking net, but no doubt Mr T will clarify things :D

Thanks T D O , fun this winding Mr T up . I dont think he realy beileves in restricting Taxi plates. It has not done him any favours . There is a Sefton plate in tonights echo, 13500 or nearest offer . The vendor asked why he was selling it , he said it was crap and that , he could not make a bean, because of the private hire in sefton . I made that bit up , but more than likely thats true . 13500 could well be less than Mr T payed for his plates . Good business man Mr T. thanks streetcar.

I think that's because most people know you can run as many as you wish.

PH don't need flawed Victorian restrictions.

STREETCAR MATE.You know the saying don't give stick if you can't take it,
this is strange, a sefton taxi man telling a L'pool driver how L'pool work's fares are set by L'pool council..yes..BUT..are applied for by the L'pool joint trades tommy mac t&g chair...joanne connlly secretary..by the way you have just applied for one....mr T

For a change I agree with Mr T - if his mate is doing a doubler on both Friday and Saturday then surely he'll make well over half a grand on these two days alone.

But of course streetcar has to line others' pockets for the privilige of working, but a level playing field woud never do, would it :?

MON 8-5 take 100-120
tue 8-5 " " "
wed 8-5 " " "
thur 8-5 " " "
fri L/C " 2pm-3am 260-300
sat L/C " 6pm -4am " "

but that is hard work......mr T...

Working a 12 - 14 hour shift every day of the week is hard work. Working 8 - 5 during the week and two nights at weekend is childs play.

With a few exceptions I bet most of the drivers on here work longer hours than that.

On average How many miles a week is this guy doing for the figures you presented?

J.D.you must have done something right this week, you did. you made me laugh, I take it as a compliment when you think that I may be yorkie.

what I have said is as the third person, he may do an hour more here and there .I do not know and I will not be asking him what mileage he does ,but if it is your intention to start with the equations again then the area of probabilities must be established.

when I worked the road I worked 12 hour shifts and more, 7 days a week flask and butties, bent cars and cabs around lampposts, stopped for the flag that turned out to be just a shadow, worked on cars that gave a 3-1 return imagine that take 300 put 100 in tank, go home with 200, but that is what we had to do to make a living, now because of people like me you get a lot better rete when you work, what is it now 8-1 9-1 and more.

Taxiing becomes a way of life, long hours, what pi**es me off is the fact that everone else does 40 or less, "tells us how to do the our job" you may not like me but I work for shorter hours and better rates, when I say work for, I mean I get up off my backside and go to meetings, both trade and council, and not just talk about it....mr T...

See what i mean, you never answer a straight question . The joint trades , Tommy mclntyre t&g, in my opinion , he is miss guided and is not putting , the interests of the drivers first . Or he would not oppose delimiting . Joanne connolly massive , taxi fleet owner , need i say more. I dont know why you are so scared , they have fleet owners in Birmingham and London etc .
