Oh and ECPH, would like to thank all City Cabs members for their assistance in building the largest taxi fleet in Edinburgh. I have it on good authority. They couldn't have done it without you.

Oh and guys, when the ECPH fleet has increased in sufficient numbers to service the airport. Don't call us. We'll call you.

Morning Skull. I asked a few drivers who Skull was and no one knows you! Your profile says you are a Taxi Driver, interesting. I think your still an active disgruntled taxi driver.
Your quote above is absolute drivel Skull. Tell me please how the ECPH fleet is going to grow in size to the levels you claim. You see for every car that is added to the fleet you would also need two drivers. Do you really think that people are going to want to join a trade that as you have stated is low income and on its knees, I don't think so. The picture you paint of the trade would make you believe you would be better off working in Costa or Burger King. The point is Skull, you claim to know the facts of what will happen at the Airport in the next five years and claim that at the end of the contract ECPH will have the biggest fleet of taxis/cars in the City. Now to claim this as fact, can you explain to me what you are basing these facts on? You see you don't have any information to base your facts on because as of yet there are no statistics to work on! The contract hasn't even started yet.
You see Skull, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but to claim a fact with no information is well just stupid.
Lets just wait and watch what unfolds, but in my opinion I think City Cabs will prosper from the contract and I'll put my neck on the line here, I think they will service the Airport well and that in turn will secure them the tender the next time it comes up for grabs! Hopefully in seven years time.
D-day 3 days away

I can't make my mind up whether you're a liar or a fool. Probably both.
Childish thinking number 1. Every new ECPH car would need two drivers? Dohhhh! What part of we're awash with eastern european immigrants who are prepared to sit in a zone and have cars given prime jobs before them don't you understand? These guys work 12/7/52 and will take whatever crumbs the company throws at them. That's what immigrant labour does, and because the PH are allowed to operate to no definable standard, they don't have the "benefit" of the topo test to restrict their numbers.
Childish thinking number 2. Burger king or costa coffee? tell me, when was the last time you heard of anyone in the taxi trade being investigated by HMRC. There always used to be such a story, but not now. And certainly not a taxi driver. How many cabbies are now on benefits to boost their income to support their family? How many cabbies are no longer paying tax? And how many cabbies have left the trade to return back to their previous one which they liked so much they left to become a dripping rich cabby?
I'd say stacking shelves in a supermarket probably pays better than being a cabby, and also provides sick pay, holiday pay, pension benefits and most of all, job security.
Childish thinking number 3. The airport and ECPH. I vouch that pecker boy is probably the only real businessman operating in the hire car trade in Edinburgh today. because he's bright enough to actually know what he's doing. Not just today, or next year, but at the end of the contract in 5 years time.
But he's not so bright that he's reinventing the wheel. All he's doing is applying what has already been done. And you only have to look along the M8 to Glasgow to see the future, where PH outnumber taxis by over 3 to one.
But the stupid fukwits in City, rather than seizing the chance to exclude them, gave them the credibility to win the contract by going it alone without CRT. Had they withdrawn, then the airport would have had to capitualate.
Five years time there won't be a CRT, or at least it will only survive by drivers being ripped off to subsidise the discounts and losses.
The increasing ECPH fleet is going to be sent from the airport to all corners of the city. A minor campaign and every burgher is going to be aware of the improved service and response they can now offer. And the discounted fare.
Childish thinking number 4. There are lies, damn lies and statistics. You tumshies will be fed job stats that City's committee need you to believe to perserve their positions. They won't be independently audited and you won't be able to disprove them. But then, you sheeple won't want to, because you've bought into the illusion, You need the illusion. Because you're grasping for salvation at other's expense.
You're a cr*pper Kaiser. A snivelling yellow bellied coward, who couldn't compete on a level playing field on your best day. And ECPH is going to roger you.
What concerns me is that in stiffing you, the rest of the trade gets rogered too.
Well done to you then, eh?
