Longshanks:

I wasn't bringing your family into anything I was merely trying to find out the reasons behind your low self-esteem. So what was it, a uniformed authoritarian father figure and a down trodden submissive mother desperate to please her overbearing husband, with you scuttling around at their ankles just hoping to get noticed? :-|

Oh and Longshanks, I'm also betting it was an Uncle or a very close family friend that got you into the taxi game. There is no way someone like you would have done it all on your own. You might have even bought your taxi from the same person.

So tell me, how close am I to the truth? Oh and try to be honest. :-|

Yawn......you should pen a letter to David Cameron regarding the unfettered access to your tool. They're big capitalists and will surely be aghast at the licence situation up here. Type up a letter as its more professional and you're more likely to get a response. Don't use email.

So you don't disagree with me then?

You make good points Jasbar. However your delivery of said good points needs to be improved.
Now we can get embroiled in the usual arguments but I'd just like you to consider and answer one point.

How do you compensate those who despite your views of them and ownership issues have invested in a licence??

Now we all know the council owns them and through incorporation they can be transferred.

You can roll out the usual statement but if you could deal with the compensation issue and promote it in a less selfish light then people would consider your proposal.

What doesn't help is when guys like fedupdundee post derestriction tales of woe and you disappear

Thanks, you've obviously seen the logic of this.

First, we need to raise the test fees by 50% to fund more officers in the cab office to monitor standards in the trade.

Next, we need to revoke the licences of those who have 3 penalty notice referrals to the cab office within 12 months (2 if the notices are red stickers).

Then, their licences should be reallocated to drivers who are next on the list, like the outstanding sisted cases who were wrongfully ignored when the last increase in licences occurred.

Finally, I can see the logic of your concern about compensation. I have a simple answer for this.

No compensation.

Those who bought into the illusion should have realised what they were buying into, and that was not licence ownership; the council have been quick to remind us of this.

And those who bought a short cut to plate operatorship, knew full well they were doing it on the backs of others, to others' detriment.

These people deserve,

No compensation.

Now, I just know you'll agree with this.

In the interest of driving up quality within our trade of course.

You're saying you don't want to improve standards in our trade?

So you're against a corrupt state yet you want more people in charge telling you what to do?

Your next point makes sense though a little harsh

Then you let yourself down with no compensation. I think you're blinkered by your hatred of those who have argued or threatened you in the past.

You were given a platform to answer back understanding all points.

I'll just leave you to enjoy your vanity project posting on here. You're a troubled man Jasbar.

Skull you can only take the moral high ground if your morals are intact.

Why won't you answer the questions?

I am genuinely interested in what you thought you were buying when you paid to jump the waiting list and why you think you should be compensated?

Did someone force you to spend your money? :?

The sad thing is you're sitting there thinking you're being all clever.

If it makes you feel better to mock those you see as pretendy businessmen then fill your boots.

However, how ridiculous are you pair giving money to a pretendy business person who doesn't even rightfully own the licence that they trade with

Your right, it is ridiculous. And that's what we've been saying all along, but let's look at it another way.

You bought into the Taxi Owner business illusion by jumping a waiting list, and you got what you paid for, but then you found out you are just a daft wee pseudo employee of the council. Although, you probably still go on holiday and bore people to death with tales of being Berty big bollocks of the taxi trade.

Who's kidding who? #-o

The waiting list was closed. And then when they re opened it for a fee all the unscrupulous c@nt fecks in this trade jumped on the band wagon. I had made some property investments when young Skull so had cash swirling about and decided I needed a quiet life so became a cabbie.
You only believe what you want Skull. You have real issues with authority which is why you've probably spent your whole life arguing with folk. I don't feel owned by the council. If they decide no we want all licences back I'd just adapt and do something else. I actually pity yourself and jasbar because you spent so long doing a job you clearly hated and that absolute baw bag is still doing it. Makes you wonder? #-o
You spout the same nonsense in some mad man repeated fashion hoping if you shout loud enough everyone will listen.
Why do you care so much about waiting lists and taxi licences?? Bit cheeky no considering where that subject is concerned you've had your cake and eaten it.

Now before you reply wipe the screen you're frothing again.......

Raw nerve!!

Artur, I keep telling you this but you never seem to listen. And I've said it so many times before, I like writing and responding to idiots like you because I take pleasure in beating you down. I see it as my public duty to treat pathetic servile scum like you with the contempt you truly deserve.

It's a dirty job...       but at least now you know the truth.
