I aint on about them i'm on about you hiring them on a lie and only doing so so you can drag the fares down to bus levels,

What lie did I hire them on?
How am I dragging our fares down, we haven't put them up in 2 years as the circuit can't take it, likewise we haven't bput our dues up for 2 years.

an if that isnt the case why dont you employ local drivers or is there a shortage of unemployed people in your area

Oh believe me I try, but at £400 to get through the PH knowledge, plus the need of a 7 year or under car, plus the fact you need to work a 50 - 60 hrs week, tends to put a lot of folk off. We get around 1/7 local applicants who apply.

The lie is come to the UK and earn a grand a week because people like you like to put £2k sheds on and have them doing 17 hour days just so you can get your £300 pw out of a car,

The £400 has nothing to do with it it's the same for HGV and worse tbh it's all to do with not wanting to drive like an F1 driver for £2.50 a job and listen to some ungrateful knob moaning about it being only £2.40 yesterday etc,

People like yourself are the modern day whip crackers/sweat shop owners and you make sure you get people to work for you who you know there is little chance they will open their mouths and go against you as I see it local all the time and be honest it's not you can't get a local it's you don't really want one do you.

Sit down and take a tablet.

Yeah right Tico, you know all about how I run my business, we charge £85 per week to jockey a car + insurance. The driver gets that car 24/7. They pay the same dues as all other drivers to work on circuit.
I make little if any profit from the rented car after tax, mot, private hire tests, repairs, maintenance etc.
Work it out but if you can't be constructive in your arguments there is no point discussing with you.

Stop [edited by admin] lying then there is no way you can ofer a 24/7 car for £85pw you [edited by admin] it will cost £30pw min for the insurance the car and keeping it licenced and fixed is another £30pw an that no include the car finance so either be honest about it or state the real figure you charge which is more like £300pw

Dont take me for a [edited by admin] in future

so you good guy who just want immigrant to have job you no worry about make profit to you then

what a champion you are arent you

if make little of no profit why bother all you do is make other drivers work 100 hours to make up for lack of work due to high number of driver going for little pot of work

get real you are just another whip cracking short cut taking parasite who thinks its ok to flood a trade cheap and sit on your backside thinking yourself a capt of industry

the fact you cant work out profit to cost margins says it all to me an its people like you who are destroying the trade and requiring us to have new laws made up that we never needed for thew last 80 years all because the likes of you have to circumvent the rules because you are to lazy to do the job yourself.

Have you spoke to other companies that work under the same licencing body? is the office being consistent. If yes then get on with it and try salvage the relationship. If the office is being using double standards then you might have a case.

Regarding EU drivers - their is enough job seekers in the UK, just find the right ones. But i do agree with the fact their is a shortage of good drivers. I would have new taxi drivers over experienced taxi drivers any day, as new drivers you can train old ones don't want to change.

The amount of times I have heard I was driving taxis before you was born, well congratulation's as for the last 29 years you still have not learnt how to do your job right.

I'm told it's costs about £20,000 to bring a Romanian driver over here, including living costs and food whilst being trained up.

Talk about p***ing money up the wall. [-(

No where £20,000.

I paid EU Taxis £500, which the driver is paying me back X per week.

As I run other businesses I was able to give him work almost immediatly so he was able to pay his own rent after two week.
I helped him with some of the fees for his application / medical etc which again he is paying back on a weekly basis, so no really it hasn't cost me anything & he is a lovely guy.
The expirement worked & I may look into doing it again.

Who's he popular with the local Romanians? I wouldn't get into a Taxi or Private Hire with one of them. When I phone up for a cab I say "English Driver please".
