Answer me this question Longshanks:

You Longshanks are now on the committee, and you are running City Cabs on my behalf as a shareholder. A position comes up in the company, and a number of excellent candidates apply for a job in marketing. There’s not much to choose between them but one shines out because of her experience in your company’s particular field of endeavour. There’s only one problem. This applicant is known to have a direct association with your competitor. And shall we say a somewhat complicated history with a similar company, through this very same connection. And what is more, you and another director of City Cabs are known to have been involved in “business” at one time or another with this person also. You might have even gone skiing together.

Now as a company director, by law, you must act in the best interest of your shareholders. So who do you hire for the job? :-|

Skull you are a complete [edited by admin]!!! You have just answered your own question in your post. One candidate shines out!!! The directors job is to hire the best candidate with no prejudice!! So therefor the one that shines out should be hired.

Now get back to wanking your dogs you Knobend.

So, no conflicts of interest as far as you are concerned Kaiser and no threat to the integrity of your company. All the above is normal business practice and just what you would expect from committeemen, running the company on your behalf.

Oh and what about the timing of this new appointment. Now let’s just say it came about after a major contractual agreement between two diametrically opposed business entities, one, a cooperative and the other privately owned business?

Now Kaiser, don’t get so upset I am merely speaking hypothetically. It’s not like any of the above really happened.

Oh and how, as directors of a cooperative do you reconcile the business interests of your company and your trade, as a whole, with actively assisting a major competitor in attacking those interests? #-o

You know. One could be forgiven for thinking that some people might be working their own agenda?

Ach... it's probably just me imagining things?    I'm being silly... #-o #-o #-o #-o

More [edited by admin] from Skull as per the norm. No wonder they call you Dull Skull. Another successful and resounding backing of the Committee done and dusted at the latest AGM, so much for the boo boys Swannee!! 95% against the committee, your 95% bonkers Swannee.

Can you explain Skull how City Cabs are actively assisting a major competitor? You've got me there!!!

Wakey wakey skull! Get your head out the bottle or off the dugs knob!!

I’m must be confused. I thought ECPH was, in fact, the preferred bidder for the Airport contract. Not City Cabs? One, is a Taxi company and the other, you guessed it Kaiser, a privately owned and operated Ph company. You do recognise the difference now don’t you Kaiser? #-o

So who is working for whom?

Ah I see the confusion Kaiser. You think Leslie and George actually own City Cabs, in their own right? You might have a point there Kaiser, but I wouldn't tell the other members. :?

The 7 members of the City Cabs committee are voted back in for another year at least. They were the only candidates to stand!!

Now Mr Spalding, Swannee and the resident baker Scarlet & Lofty would like you to believe that the members don't have the balls to question or stand up to the committee!! Complete [edited by admin]. Does it not show that the members are happy with not only the committee but also and more importantly how City Cabs is being run!!

In any business Stability is the major foundation to build a strong structure from. The stability of the City Cabs committee shows that there is a belief and strength throughout the membership. Now lets have a look over the canal!! How many chairman, secretary's and committee members over the past 7 years? Answers on a very long durable toilet roll please!!

There will no doubt be some [edited by admin] on it!!

Why don't you write a letter, sorry email Central and City to clarify the tender process seen as you care so much Skull?

Stability hasn't worked in North Korea or Zimbabwe but I take your point Kaiser

So that's Woodbrurn & Gibson running City Cabs for another year? Sorry, what I meant to say was Leslie & George. #-o A Freudian slip, it could have happened to anyone.

This who's working for what company is all getting very confusing these days.

As for phoning a cab when I'm up in Edinburgh, I always call City Cabs for an excellent service. :0131 477 4000

Remember that number guys, in a few years, it's the only one you'll ever need: 0131 477 4000

How's the bespoke dog crèche coming along? Is there an opening date yet?

No need, the tender process was largely irrelevant to the outcome. ECPH had it in the bag. It was a given.

Think about it, you have a joint operation with approximately 800 taxis with qualified drivers, but you hand the whole shooting match over to a competitor of less than half the fleet size with unskilled drivers and no access to the greenways.

This wasn't about what was right for the passenger coming through the airport. It was about Stephen Malcolm playing with big boy's toys. I bet you he knew who was getting the Airport contract before the tenders were even in.

And do you honestly believe that Leslie and George knew nothing about the part, they had to play in all of this? #-o

Deary me... #-o #-o #-o #-o Stephen Malcolm after "winning" the 30 million pound Airport Contract.
