Hello 'aitch', what have Cab Direct said about their pre-historic after sales, because if it ain't good enough, then they need to sort it.

If it's in a mess now, then they had better sort it out by the time they are allowed in London. The chaps there are pretty unforgiving, so it they don't get it right soon, then they will pay for it in the long term.

would you believe it is three weeks today since i last spoke to the problem solver @ cab direct regarding my perspex partition coming away (it,s stuck on with double sided tape) they seemed shocked  :o
i also mentioned that they had failed to pay for the seat belts to be replaced and for someone to try & solve the problem of continual heat into the passenger section
also the promissed compansation for late delivery
 perhaps i will give them another call later today
watch this space

Good idea, and perhaps mention that we are debating the subject on here :D, and are very much looking forward to finding out how they sort out their problems.

So will the BBC who have run a programme about Cab Directs appalling customer service record. See Andy Fosher in Retford, he summoned the BBC programme Watchdog to investigate the problems he was having with Cab Direct and his E7. It's due to be screened in the early part of the new year.

I look forward to that, and to see what Cab Direct have to say on the matter.

But if it goes the usual 'Watchdog' way, they will say "that we sell loads and have very few complaints, this shouldn't have happened and we have put procedures in place, to make sure it doesn't happen again".

Then everyone says thank you, and into the ether goes the problem. :(

Cab Direct aren't the only company selling taxis based on the Peugeot. Voyager in Crewe offer all 3 marks now (ie Peugeot, Citroen, Fiat). Found them very helpful, vehicle cheaper, quality loads better than E7, nicer people to deal with!

That's good to hear Bob. :D

But does anyone know if any of the WAV makers/converters have airbags and ABS as standard?

Or do they all think that these safety items are luxuries? :(

We had 3 last year never again. Paid £22,000 for each of them got £7,625 on PX. We are currently trying to turn the fleet into a Skoda fleet, the Taxi Centre look after us well. Last week we had 6 Skoda Superbs delivered from Glasgow on time, 4 year warranty, full tank of Fuel on each car, can't fault them keep up the good work guys.

Peugeot/Citroen/Fiat now come with airbag as standard (driver). ABS still an extra (just checked with Voyager - have all 3 marques in stock and will take their own vehicles back in on part ex.)
