Came a cropper today dropping off at gatwick as soon as i pulled up a traffic warden collared me and shoved a leaflet in my hand as i had passengers and luggage to unload i put it in my pocket and continued to unload the warden walked away and then reappeared with his ticket book and started to take vehicle details  and told me i would receive an enforcement ticket in the post

The annoying thing was that the leaflet says you are still allowed to drop off but not pick up there were other vehicles there picking people up that were being ignored i know it took me about 3 minutes to unlaod as I had 7 passengers including 1 disabled lady with a wheelchair and 1 handicapped but it said nothing in the leaflet about time limits

Not Happy !!!!

For them to send you a ticket they have to prove you breached a contract with them, clearly you haven't. Appeal.

Have a word with the folks on pepippo.

I'm sure us peeps on Pepipoo will have a lot of advice. ISTR there's already been some new discussion there about Gatwick.

Don't pay.

As Roy said, when you get something, go to www.pepipoo.com and start a thread on there.

I can't remember the PPC involved at Gatwick but I know I've considered baiting them before for a bit of fun. Once you get your head round the legal situation with these things it is good fun. I've seen off 5 hospital tickets and just waiting on an adjudication against a Tesco PPC. After that, I've run out. I must go and 'obtain' some more!!! :D

I have every intention of fighting this

1) Their leaflets nor any of the signage states a maximum permitted unloading time
2) It was very obvious to this warden that i was unloading passengers and suitcases
3) I think this was an annoyed warden taking revenge because i put gis leaflet straight into my pocket and was giving maximum attention to my passengers instead of ignoring them and reading his leaflet

You have to be a bit careful at airports, docks and railway stations because they are usually covered by bye-laws.

There was a lot of baiting in the Wild Bean place on the edge of Gatwick a couple of years ago.
