I wouldn't dream of it, but I think you will find the WAVs will be rear entry. :D

A few years back we had a small company start up called Lady Penelope Cars, who I believe used bright pink Cavaliers.

They lasted a year or so, but in the end integrated with a bigger firm and when the cars needed changing, they went back to normal colour cars.

I think they struggled getting women to drive late at night, and all the idiots requested women only vehicles. Which perhaps made things worse for the drivers.

All in all not a good idea.

I heard this on the radio last night, I pretty sure when Kerry Katona was talking she mentioned the words "when short of money" which gave me the impression that the women drivers will let them off if they are short of the fare.

I can say with my hand on my heart, that 98% of fair disputes I've had over the years involves a woman.

Its almost as if they expect you to take them for a cheaper price because they are a 'woman'.

As for a tip? ha ha, just watch them take every 10p you give them, hardly ever a tip involved.

A few years ago i used to make a point in stopping late at night for women who were on their own, now I'll stop for whoever is first, no prioritys any more, equality? they can have it.

7 times in nearly 20 years of drving a taxi i've had to call the Police, every case was a griefy woman, 'oh i've no money, but i'm only a girl on my own, can't you take this tenner for the £22.80 fare?'
:x

On paper it's a great idea but in practise well we shall see, good luck to them though

I suspect that's why it will only be a PH firm that operates this way.

But this firm will not last doing women only. Once they suddenly realise the amount of work they are turning away, they will have a re-think.

Either that or go out of business.

I think they are getting around the discrimination issue by forming a sort of club, and, I'm assuming, all those customers that request women drivers for women, must be registered.

Clearly work like this via the ranks would be viewed as discrimination.
