Got a pickup from Liverpool John Lennon airport, where's the best place to park and wait (PH), cheapest or free ?

Just off Speke Hall Avenue. The corner of Church road and Hale Road.

I was hoping for somewhere actually on the airport !

Been checking online and it looks like my options are to;

Wait offsite and get passengers to phone when ready then collect from the short stay (5 mins free),
Use multi-storey and hope passengers have arrived (£2 up to 20 mins),
Take a chance and use the drop-off/pick-up which will cost ££'s if passengers are'nt there.

By co-incidence I had a punter last night who used to work for one of the meet and greet type parking firms, he said just press the button to speak once you get to the exit barrier, give them the name of a parking firm that works the airport and they'll just open the barrier and let you out no charge - don't know if I've got the balls to try that one !

Is the correct answer.
