Present your data licence, there's not a law in this land which says they can remove plates.

whats this data licence you talk about and if i get that camera you have do i need one .

bearing in mind im p.h for a company

If you are operating the CCTV yourself you will need a Data Controller license, but you might be able to use the firms license.
