Just some of the complaints received by the office over the last couple of months, and each one resulted in the driver being called to the office to explain themselves as per procedure;

Didn't like the radio station tuned to,
Radio on too quiet,
Air freshener too strong,
Heater set too hot/cold,
Driver didn't chat on journey,
Driver looked sad,
Was late for an appointment and driver wouldn't go above 30mph,
Driver would'nt let me in because I had a can of lager,
Driver refused to take me because I didn't have any money,

And the best has to be, the seat covers were PVC not real leather #-o

I never get complaints of that nature just the occassional complaint that a driver was not being helpful enough but there again most of my drivers are flexible enough with the customers to not give cause except one who is no longer with us and in fact is now on the dole I believe because no one wants him

I suspect they were all after free rides or vouchers.

I remember well telling a punter to ring the boss and gave him the number, he rang it from the back seat en-route

his face was a picture when my phone rang

The best one I had was a women who phoned up to the office because I'd gone over some road humps taking her the shortest route to her destination. She phoned up the office and said "it was her monthly blob cycle and had stomach ache".

We have just started a new school run. One of the parents has been ringing up county hall every day with one complaint or another. Yesterday she couldn't get through to county hall, so she rang me instead. Apparently we are the 4th company to have this contract since September!!!

on speaking to an owner who did my old run before me it transpired one mum asked him outright what he was getting

then rang county and offered to do it cheaper!

Today's complaint was that the driver did not take her son all the way to the front door. County hall have told her that the driver is not allowed to leave the vehicle whilst there are other children on board and that it is her job as a parent to meet the child at the gate.

Big up for county!

ive one where ive not stopped the car and mum lets him run out the front door, giving the escort no chance to grab him despite it being on his contract notes that he is prone to bolting

ive started dropping the escort before pulling onto the drive meaning the escort is at the door faster
