Got out of hospital about 9.30 Pm last night, they found I have a splenic aneurysm, they said take it easy for a few days and will have to go up to the western general in Edinburgh in about a weeks time and may need my spleen removed  they said the main artery going to it had ballooned slightly and was causing pain in my left side, phones going mental

Switch the bloody fone off and take it easy then. Have a quiet one this year and get yourself sorted for next year.

Get well soon Skip. Don't worry about the bloody phone you pillock, get yourself right. It's all that rubbish food you've been eating.

Divert the phones to me.... Ummmm, on second thoughts, don't! 400 miles to the pick-up point? Nah!!!

Take it easy mate. Don't rush. This may take time to recover fully. Listen to your body. Good luck. :)

You can live without a spleen. My mum had hers removed in 1968 due to cancer. She lived for another 30 years before she died from a totally unconnected problem.

Here's to a fast recovery, Skip.
As for the scar, there's many a soul in the local cemetery would love to be able to worry about one.
And switch that feckin phone off, if you haven't already.

FFS Skippy, don't be so vain. I have burn scars all over my body from when I was a toddler. I can honestly say that they have never bothered me at all. I can't even remember anyone ever being repulsed by them whe I go swimming and they are very visible. and my wife has a very long scar accross her neck from an operation to remove part of her thyroid. If you don't bother about the scar then no one else will.

I'm very proud of my surgical scars. They prove that I've been there, fought and won...Which you will!!! :)
