Have you ever read your insurance data protection policy before you sign it? I did and amended mine before signing. J&M brothers refused to insure me.

I wasn't happy to allow them to send my political, religious, medical and criminal records to "North Korea". :-\

I used North Korea sparingly. I doubt we do much business with them. But if you are the kinda chap who travels a lot, or has business/family/kinksters across the world including North Korea or Iran, or even Saudi, Bahrain, Ghana, Uganda, Israel etc. And you happen to exercise the "freedom of speech, assembly, association, movement" etc. And you happen to believe in a different God or non at all. And you are a cabby. Or used to belong to a cabby Union etc. And you love Formula 1, Motor GP etc.

Ever arrived at the airport and stopped for 36 hours, and they just happen to know your last prescription? Well

No I can't say that I have. Have you tried asking someone from the data protection place if they can share your information in this way, assuming that they have this information.

No I haven't. I doubt they'd have much help with that.

My little brain tells me that other countries run by their own laws and traditions. It would be easier if they all adopted UK/EU laws. Then Data Protection would be easily provided and I could sue J&M should I come into contact with my data in places I'd not provided it to.

What baffled and bamboozled me is that they are asking me to give the non-exclusive permission to do as they wish with my data in places where Data Protection is not part of the law. How do you even say that to a customer?

I wouldn't want all countries to adopt most UK or EU, many of them are [edited by admin]. By the ame token, I wouldn't want the UK or EU to adopt a lot of foreign laws. Mind you, so of the Sharia laws may prevent re-offending, like cutting of the hands of thieves...

And No, I don't want my information shared.
