Me and my mate will be taking part in my Capri again this year. Starting point will be Paisley Abbey on 23rd January.
Here's a few pics of me and the car in the Alps last year.....

The length of the MK I Capri's bonnet was like looking down the deck of an Aircraft carrier...good luck though.

I only drove one once and that was enough for me. I couldn't see anything within 20 feet in front of the car.

To recall a conversation at a local pub a couple of years ago about the Monte Carlo Historique, a local vintage car buff was saying he was taking his car there; with my interest in vintage buses I joined the conversation. Another chap said he works for the Canterbury Cricket Club as a groundsman, knows the chairman very well and they have a 1938 Roller there.

Conversation went something like:
CB hmm, how much is it worth?
GM Dunno. :?
CB How many seats has it got?
GM One. It must be a rarity.
CB Yes, there not many of that model, I expect it's unique. :)
GM yes, it's only got three wheel as well.
CB (getting very exited)have you driven it recently? 8)
GM a couple of years ago, it was a bit uncomfortable and quite slow
CB well, what engine's it got? :)
GM A Lister 2-stroke
CB (looking worried)Are you sure? :-|
GM yes, it's hand start 8)
CB what, hand start on a 1938 Roller? Rolls Royce went to electric start in 1926 :x
GM looks at me, I look at GM, then the penny drops. CB falls on the floor laughing, realising the 1938 Roller with the 3 wheels, one seat and hand start was what he used to roll the cricket pitch, not something he'd drive to Monte Carlo! :D :D
