I would say relyabiltity is the most important.
Then plenty of account work.

But the drivers are the most important, bad drivers can lose you custom.

1 yes
2 not round here, there's no businesses that use taxi/ph accounts (in the "prosperous" south-east). Even on county council school runs you get buggered around with payments.
3 agreed.

This thread questions what makes for a 'successful' taxi operation that couldn't be emulated by just about anybody else. Whilst an interesting development within the taxi industry, Apps are available to all and sundry, and so are irrelevant to our line of enquiry.

Which still leaves us only two propositions thus far. Metropolitan vehicles are unpopular and taxi bosses are brave ...

Addison Lee is successful for different reasons than Delta. It's about knowing your market and providing for it. Delta claim to have taken 10 million calls last year and that's what attracts drivers, what drivers don't realise is that with the number of drivers at Delta it equates to roughly just under £500 a driver per week if they're lucky, out of which they need to take all running costs and radio settle. The drivers aren't successful the owners are. So is the question what really makes ph barons successful or the company as a whole because if it's the company as a whole then none of the so called companies are successful

and all by BACS i should add

If you have a problem it may be your fault

No, the problem was the lack of clarity on the KCC Terms and Conditions.

Why is it that some companies, such as Addison Lee / Blueline / Delta etc, prosper whilst others do not?

What are these companies doing that couldn't be replicated by anybody else?

AL Prosper?

They've had to reduce their fleet by over a 1000 vehicles.

Griffin might fill his wallet with £50 notes, but his slave's work 7 days a week for what I take in 3/4.
