So tell me Gusmac, how do you reconcile your left-wing politics when voting in a right-wing government? Left-wing politics are not what they used to be in this country since Tony Blair, yet the SNP and Scottish Labour both claim to be centre left parties. However, in the case of the SNP, they seem to be sucking up Scottish Tory voters with their right-wing policies.

Oh and I do agree, that the UK as a whole is now a right-wing country, and that left-wing politics are largely ineffectual. Centre left, and Centre right politics, is now like skipping from one foot to the other in order to keep the voters interested.

Do I do a Gusmac, and vote for independence and a right-wing government or do I abstain as a matter of principle?

The premise that anyone will be voting in a government in September.
It's a referendum with a yes/no answer. Not a vote for anyone individual or any party.

Scottish Government elections are in 2015, regardless of the referendum's outcome.
