Hi everyone,
I am new here. I have a fairway driver plus, which I really like. However I have seen turbo versions and wonder are they good?

Fairway turbo is a aftermarket conversion done for the emissions in London.Nice if you have it,but I wouldn't go to the expense of fitting it.

Hi Blackpool,
thanks for the reply. I thought it was aftermarket, as I could find no mention of it in spec sheets. I think I will look out for one.

what engine do you have fitted, im sure the compression ratio of a N/A diesel is about 20 (maybe 23) to one whereas a turbo is often 18 to one, you may need lower compression pistons.....i doubt the old "2 gasket" trick will hold

not to say they didnt alter the compression ratio son, same blocks, same heads, different pistons

buslife has a N/A engine and wouldnt be waiting for the turbo to spool up....son

Hi all, thanks for the replies. I'm going to have a look at and hopefully buy a turbo cab tomorrow. :D I'm not quite sure what you're saying Blackpool? Anyway I will drive it and see if it's quicker than mine and less rusty.
