hi all
i am jon from nottingham

i am currantly a bus driver (or the enemy )of 15 years and fancy a change is becoming a cabbie finacialy worth it , what are the set up costs how much does a plate cost ,is it better to go PH or or council .
basicly iam looking for a bit of schooling in this

i want to do it but the mrs isnt so sure
advice please

The costs can be little or they can be a lot, it all depends on whether you want to drive for yourself or for someone else.

Have a word with you local licensing officer, I'm quite sure he will give you a few pointers.

Also spend a while looking at this forum because dozens of drivers have asked similar questions, which have received hundreds of answers.

come aboard there will always be someone who will either let you drive there cars or a firm that will take your radio rent.
whether you can make a good living is another matter. :shock:
