Section 48 of the LGMP act 1976 places as much importance on the plate displayed on the vehicle as on the paper licence issued for the vehicle. Indeed when a vehicle passes it's test it is issued with the licence plate, and then a paper licence is posted to the applicant several days later. Technically in driving the vehicle without the plate displayed, could be deemed to be committing an offence- and there for the insurance will be void. So the police should be interested, there's also the point of identifying the vehicle, around here every driver would be on the phone to the police, stating there's an unlicensed vehicle picking up, and that he's been seen parked up near a school ect ect ect.
