Not sure those words are deserved just because you disagree with someone.

He has a view that some people share, and a view that some people don't.

Smoking is a disgusting habit that, thankfully, many are giving up with the help of those pipe things, but like you I don't think a smoking fine(s) should affect your fitness to drive.

Defo affects your fitness to breath though.

I respect hes decision to sack staff for it , I am an an ex smoker , I hate it , but for these muppets to take hes livelihood away for it , I disagree , and grandad is a silly old fart :D :D :D
