Woman fled cab after sexual incident involving driver Police trying to trace 20-year-old woman who fled cab and was helped by passer-by
Police are trying to trace the victim of an alleged sexual assault along the A33 between Reading and Basingstoke last month.
The incident happened between 2am and 4am on Sunday, June 29, when a woman thought to be aged 20 got a taxi from Reading town centre after having been drinking with a friend.
At some point during the journey to Hampshire, the driver of the taxi touched himself inappropriately.
The woman got out of the taxi and fled the scene.
She was found in Rockbourne Road in Sherfield-on-Loddon by a passer-by and told them what had happened.
The woman was then collected by her parents in Rockbourne Road.
The passer-by reported the incident to the police who would like to trace the woman.
She was white, slim, 5ft 8ins tall with brown bobbed hair and a tattoo. She was wearing black leggings, a black top and black boots.
Police are keen to identify the woman and to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything in connection with the incident.

A 37-year-old man was arrested in connection with this offence on July 3 and bailed pending further enquiries.
